Gran Turismo 5 Review

Gran Turismo 5 is the 5th game in this racing Simulation series. This 5th edition comes with new aspects to factor in just like if you were actually driving a car like weather and wind speeds. GT5 doesn't really have a story line and is basically just a SIM game. It does come with a somewhat single player mode where you race on different tracks against computer and earn money to buy and tune up cars. Also it does have multiplayer mode to race friends locally and random people online. But there are a couple downfalls to this game. Firstly crashing in this game does nothing, no bumps, scratches or dents even when crashing at over 250mph! That is 1 of the un realisetic parts. And another downfall is the lack of storyline and race types. Unlike the Burnout or Need for Speed series', GT5 only offers strictly lap racing. No elimination or objective modes. And also you cannot smash your opponents off the track. For all these downfalls i rate this game a 2/5 stars. Not recommended for hardcore gamers but maybe for people who enjoy just a normal racing only game.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest Review

Lord of the Rings: Conquest is the newest lord of the rings games and is played in a very different perspective. Instead of being played from the heroes point-of-view (Aragon, Legolas etc.) you are actually playing from the soldiers point-of-view. It is all the same story line with the battle of Helm`s Deep and attacking Isengard but from the perspective of many different types of soldiers. You can play as the basic swordsman or an archer with many different types of arrows (poison, fire, multi-shot) a mage with also many cool attacks such as healing powers, lightening strike, rings of fire and a deflector shield and finally you can play as a scout/assassin which can turn invisible to sneak up on people. This is a very fun game with the epic award-winning story line of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. You battle Orcs and Goblins all the way to Mordor and destroy the Great Eye. There is also a Multiplayer feature for this game where you can play online or offline with friends and play games on different maps. 1 team is humans or elves and the other is orcs. In all i give this game a 3.5/5 star rating because of the epic Lord of the Rings storyline and also the new perspective this game is played from compared to other LOTR games. This is a definite must have for any LOTR fans.

Batman: Arkham City Review

With the newest and even more thrilling release of Batman:Arkham City, even more action packed, combat filled levels have been added. The gadgets previously used in the first game return in Arkham City. Most of these gadgets have improved or boast new capabilities; for example, the Cryptographic Sequencer can also track signals, the line launcher now can be deployed as a tightrope and has a feature that allows Batman to flip over and launch another zipline, switching directions. The remote control Batarang now has a built in brake and boost, and the grappling gun can now be used while gliding to boost Batman further up into the air. There are also new gadgets such as smoke pellets to confuse armed enemies when spotted by them, the Remote Electrical Charge, a taser gun used to power generators and shock enemies, ice grenades used to freeze enemies and make pathways through water, and a signal disruptor used to jam firearms and detonate enemy explosives. The events of Arkham City take place one year after Arkham Asylum. Quincy Sharp, former warden of Arkham Asylum, has taken credit for stopping the Joker's Asylum takeover, and used the notoriety to become mayor of Gotham City. At a press conference held by Bruce Wayne to declare his opposition to Arkham City, Wayne is arrested by Hugo Strange's TYGER mercenaries and is imprisoned in Arkham City. Strange discloses his knowledge of Wayne's dual identity as Batman before putting him in with the criminals. While Strange prepares to launch "Protocol 10", Wayne gets his crime-fighting equipment via airdrop from Alfred Pennyworth, allowing Wayne to become Batman. As Batman, he first saves Catwoman from being executed by Two-Face, who hopes to gain respect with her murder. After Joker attempts to assassinate Catwoman, Batman tracks him to his hideout in the Sionis Steelworks, believing Joker may know the truth behind Protocol 10. I rate this game a 4.5/5 and a definate must-buy because of its intrecate levels and plot and all of the cool changes to the weapons and gadgets that batman gets to use which is 1 of the biggest and coolest parts of the game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Review

The 2009 release of DC-comics first Batman game. Arkham Asylum is an intense action-adventure game where you play Batman and are trying to foil the Jokers plans. This game is played in a 3rd person perspective just like most other action adventure games such as Infamous. In the storyline of Arkham Asylum , Batman catches Joker and sends him to jail. Since there was a fire at Gotham`s Blackgate Prison, the Joker and many of his thugs are moved to Arkham. The security of Arkham is overridden by Harley Quinn allowing the Joker to escape.  Then the hunt is on for Batman to recapture the Joker and put him behind bars. This game is very action packed with lots of Hand-to-Hand combat situations and of course getting to use all of Batman`s cool gadgets such as the classic Batarang, explosive gel, a grappling gun, the Batclaw and even  a zipline launcher! These gadgets give Batman the ability to jump high swing from different places and even glide with his giant bat like cape. With the Joker`s plans becoming even more evil a twisted you must use your timing and intellect to defeat him. I rank 4/5 because of the intense combat, creative storyline and of course just because you get to be Batman! The newest game in this series was released recently. Minecraft Review

Minecraft may not be the most intense game or most graphically advanced but it is sure very popular! Millions and millions of people have bought this new game called minecraft where your player uses blocks or "chunks" to build, create, dig, mine, incinerate and craft to make many different materials and objects. The basic objective of the game (in survival mode) is to start from nothing and craft different materials together to make stuff like doors, pickaxes, axes, windows, wood sticks, glass and put together to basically build you a house to keep safe from monsters that try to kill you. But dont worry if you dislike starting with nothing and running from monsters in survival mode there is also a creative mode where you have every resource in the game at your disposal. You can build huge houses and roller coasters out of mine car tracks! You can also play online with friends with a server. Although this game isnt at all up to graphics standards of today with its very pixelated interface. Minecraft is fun and entertaining which is probably why it is so addicting for some people. I rank this game 4/5 for the originality and ability to keep players interested with the constant updates.

Little Big Planet series Review and LBP PS Vita release date!

The PS3 only Little Big Planet is a fun game for all ages. In the LBP story line you are a little sack boy making your way through mythical worlds and over coming challenges. Even though your sackboy only have 3 controls (move, grab and jump) this game is still incredibly fun. in the campaign you do stuff like drive cars, swing from trees, dodge bombs, run from fire and much more.Also you can customize the outfit of your sackboy to be almost anything. From a rockstar to a giant carrot and even a sackgirl! The costume combos are endless! There is also a create mode where you can create your own levels using many different resources seen through the game. You can also use different tools to make object do many things such as spawn more of that object or make objects turn(for car wheels). The possibilities are endless! There is also an online mode where you can play campaign missions together with friends and also online people can post there own levels that they have created. As i said before you can create almost anything. People have created stuff like: sharks, snowboards, cars, planes, jetpacks and much much more in there levels. With the newer release of LBP 2 even more levels and items were brought into the game. New stuff in LBP 2 was the bounce pads which allow you to jump higher, the grappling hook which allows you to grapple on to anything made of a certain material and the helmet launch which launches a certain item. Adding just a few more of these simple items and the possibilities for levels are even greater! you can make almost everything and anything you think of. I rank this game a 5/5. Mainly a perfect score because this game is genius original and is fun for all ages. You may think this game sounds childish but once you`ve tried it no matter your age you will most likely like it. Also for you PS Vita players out there LBP for PS Vita is to be released later this year :).

Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty Review and Expansion packs release dates!

Blizzard Entertainment started their award-winning series in 1998 with the first release of their thrilling strategy game; Starcraft. Starcraft is based in the 26th century in a different part of The Milky Way where 3 major races are battling it out to claim all the planets. The Terran, Protoss and Zerg races have many different units and abilities than each other. In the return of Starcraft 2 in 2010 the story line has evolved from just fending off the zerg and protoss armies in the original Starcraft. In Starcraft 2 you are a Terran rebel named Jim Raynor that is against the rising power of the Dominion that is run by Mengsk. The Dominion controls the rest of the Terran race(which are humans) except for Raynor and his band of rebels. Most of the campaign you and your rebels defeat different parts of the Dominion and free civilians. Aside from the campaign though Starcraft 2 has had a online aspect added to it along with a brand new map editor to help design more complex maps. There are now custom games designed by other Starcraft players and not by Blizzard Entertainment to give players new game modes and always new games and styles of games to play. Now there are Tug of War, Tower Defense, RPG, Survival and many more game types! Also there are new challenge modes for offline play which test your strategy and knowledge of unit balance to fight your way through certain obstacles with only limited units. I  rate this game a 4.5/5 because of its genius ideas and the many advances in online game play and more game modes to keep players interested and for the intensity of battle! I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys battle strategy and intense fighting and battles. Also as a last note new expansions for the game will be released later in 2012 for the Heart of the Swarm Expansion and TBA for the expansion after that.

COD Black Ops Review

The 2010 release of the 7th Call of Duty was 1 of the most anticipated Call of Duty at all. Call of Duty Black Ops shattered the past sales records of Modern Warfare 2. Within 24 hours Black Ops sold over 5.6 million copies beating MW2`s  24 hour sales record was 2.3 million copies. Black Ops is the next in the series to Treyarch`s World at War. Black Ops i based in the Cold War era in the 1960`s. Different missions in Black Ops are based in Cuba, Russia, Kazakhstan and Vietnam. As always Call of Duty has created another amazing campaign in Call of Duty Black Ops. The campaign involves fighting your way through Cuba into Fidel Castro`s compound to kill the Castro look alike, and disabling a Russian missile silo. Another amazing part of the Black Ops game was the return of the Call of Duty`s epic game mode. Zombies. Black Ops returned with 2 new free zombie maps Kino Der toten and "Five" which is based in the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Also throughout the year that Black Ops was at its prime it released 4 new map packs which included 8 new zombie maps in total. Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri La, Moon and the return of the 4 World at War Zombie maps that started it all; Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Reise. Aside from the classic multiplayer mode that isn`t much different from every other First Person Shooter game. Zombies is the one mode in Call of Duty that makes it different and original. Zombies is a crazy fast-paced survival mode where zombies will come out of windows and the ground trying to kill you and you must use all your weapons and explosives to kill the zombies hoards. Every round in zombies the zombies get harder to kill and more zombies appear. Every kill gains you money and you can use this money to open doors to new parts of the maps, buy weapons off the wall, use traps and use the "Mystery Box" which gives you a random weapon. Zombies is a total original feature to Call of Duty that has kept players interested even when other games come out. Even after the release of MW3 Black Ops still has over 1,000,000 players playing at a time(give or take a few 100,000 players) and for this i applaud Treyarch on the terrific work. I give this a 4.5/5 stars rating. 5/5 for zombies, 4.5/5 for the campaign and 4/5 for multiplayer.

Black Ops Declassified Confirmed for PS Vita!

Along with the introduction of Black Ops 2 at E3 a Call of Duty game for the PS Vita handheld system was also released. Black Ops: Declassified. This game is supposed to feature a whole new campaign and Spec Ops missions aside from Black Ops 2. This game is supposed to be more oriented for "on-the-go" gamers. With shorter campaign and Spec Ops missions Black Ops: Declassified will make it easy to pick up play a mission and then return to what you were doing. And also just like every other Call of Duty it is confirmed that there will be a Multiplayer game mode. It will most likely be run only on WiFi because the 3G is not fast or powerful enough to support intense online gaming. The game is said to be released in Q3 2012 probably around October or November when Black Ops 2 is released. Yet the Ads for Black Ops: Declassified say "coming this holiday" so PS Vita gamers might have this game released to them before the end of the summer. The price of the game was released though and the game will cost $50.00. Although there is no developer announced yet for Black Ops: Declassified it is most likely made by Treyarch. Any other news on this will be posted immediately.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

Call of Duty is 1 of the best in the business in terms of First-Person Shooters. As far as their newest released game Modern Warfare 3. They didn`t exactly hit a home run. MW3 pretty much has all the same styles to its previous Modern Warfare, MW2. The only differences between the games in terms of features is 2 player online, which Treyarch already included in Black Ops, and the Survival Spec Ops mode. The 1 new twist to the Call of Duty franchise that is good about MW3 is Community and Face-Off game modes online. MW3 has left the classic TDM, DOM or HQ and has added 2 new categories. Firstly the Face-Off game mode. The Face-Off game modes give you and opportunity to display your skills as a lone gun, you and a friend or a small team with 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 gameplay instead of the classic 6v6 or 9v9 in ground war. And Secondly for the Community games. Currently MW3 has 3 Community game modes. Infected, Drop Zone and FFA Gunplay. Infected is almost like the game "Manhunt" that we play as kids. 1 person starts out as the "infected" and can only use a tactical knife to "infect" everyone else until there is no one remaining. Just the the game Manhunt once someone is killed by infected they become on the infected`s team to help kill the rest of the players. Drop Zone is a cool game almost like HQ where there is an area that you must secure. But the twist is that for each person standing in the circle your team gains 20 points per second. Also both teams can be in the DZ at once collecting points. And for the 3rd twist to this game. If a player stays in the DZ long enough to get 200 points a care package will be sent in. And the last game FFA Gunplay is just a mixture of different FFA games such as One in the Chamber, 18 Guns (or Gungame), 3x6 Guns (which is gun game where you use the same set of 6 guns 3 times to win) and All or Nothing. All of Nothing is a new game type to this game also. In All of Nothing you start off with just a tact. knife and a throwing knife to try to kill other players. once you kill someone you get ammo for the usp .45 that you are holding and you can keep on killing, first 1 to 20 kills wins. Even though MW3 is very similar to MW2 Call of Duty is working very hard trying to make it different to keep players interested. Overall i give this game a 3.8/5 stars.

Portal 2 Review

Portal 2 is one of tje more creative and fun puzzle-adventure game i have ever played. I rank this game a 5/5 stars. Valve and Steam are 2 very smart companies for coming up with the game. The portal 2 canpaign starts as you as a mute girl named Chell. You are being used for human testing at aperture science enrichment facilities. Chell is put through many puzzles by GLADOS a robot with quite the attitude. You must use this tool called the "portal gun" to create and link between to flat surfaces in the form of a circle to "teleport" yourself or objects to complete each missions. Each puzzles gets progressively harder adding new factors such as light bridges, turrets or edgless safety cubes. Near the end of the campaign you escape GLADOS and her tests and break out of the Aperture Labs to free the rest of the people having tests done on them. The multiplayer is another awesome part of Portal 2. In the multiplayer you and a friend are 2 robots named P-body and Atlas undergoing testing to see how smart you are. To robots are put through another series of tests similar to the campaign ones but just as fun! To add on to the fun Valve creates DLC for free so you don't have to pay to keep the fun going like other game franchises. Here are some gameplay pictures of the game:

Elder Scrolls Online Release Date and Skyrim Plot!

The Elder Scrolls Series is another award winning series coming out with a new game in the near future. The new Elder Scrolls Online is said to be released sometime in 2013. Many popular elder scrolls games such as The Elder Scrolls Oblivion or this years (The Elder Scrolls)Skyrim. The main plot of the newest elder scrolls game ; The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is that the player is trying to kill Alduin, a dragon god who is said to destroy the world. The Game is based on a mythical planet called Nirn in the Province of Skyrim. The main feel of the map set of is somewhat medieval times type style except for there are many mythical creatures.  There are castles and people ride horses your typical medieval times stuff. The one thing about the Elder Scrolls series that is fun is that each game doesn `t have just set missions that you complete it is an RPG. You pretty much can do anything you want along with the set missions. It could almost be considered the medieval Gran Theft Auto because you can kill random people and steal stuff and what not.The new Elder Scrolls Online that will be coming out is a very big steep for the Elder Scrolls series because it will be their first multiplayer game. Assassin`s Creed III Release Date and New Game Plot!

The New Assassin`s Creed has been set to release this year on October 30th, 2012. The Plot of AC3 is in the backdrop of the American Revolution where a new hero; Ratohnhake. Having the name of Connor in the game he becomes the next enforcer of justice in the ancient war between assassins and templars. Players with be fighting in many different places in this award winning adventure/action game series. In AC3 players will be fighting in colonial villages and chaotic battlefields where The American Revolution will be taking place. This New Assassin`s Creed will be even more jam packed with action, fighting and adventure for even the most adventure craving and blood-thirsty players. Here are  some Snapshots of the new AC3:

Halo 4 Release Date and What`s New!

Even though i am not particularly a fan of the Halo series, the new Halo 4 does seem to be covering what was wrong with each of the other games before it. The official release date is November 6th, 2012 and will be sold for $59.99 USD. The plot of Halo 4 take place 5 years after where Halo 3 left off. Master Chief has returned in Halo 4 to face his destiny to fight the ancient evils that threaten the entire universe. Although this sounds like your classic Sci-Fi type story Halo 4`s Campaign is very similar to the other games in style. The multiplayer gameplay is what really changes about Halo 4. 343 Industries has added a whole arsenal of new weapons. There have already been 10 new weapons that were confirmed at E3. Also in Multiplayer has "Spartan Ops" similar to Call of Dutys "Spec Ops". Also you will be able to customize your player much more than previous games. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D Release Date

The next edition to the epic series of Roller Coaster Tycoon; Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D was set to come out on May 22nd of this year but then was set back to June 19th. After still not being released on June 19th Atari its release date as "Yet to be Announced". It is estimated to be released at least by the end of the summer. N-Space as confirmed that the game is actually finished. The game as already been approved in North America but not in Europe yet so this could be what Atari is waiting for before they release it.Here are some cool snapshots of the new game:

E3 Confirmed Game Releases and black ops 2 review

After E3 of 2012 many game titles were revieled and confirmed to come out later this year. Big titles will appear in the next couple months such as assassins creed 3 liberation, God of War: Ascension, halo 4, Gears of War: Judgement, the Elder scrolls 5: Skyrim -Dawnguard, the Elder Scrolls Online, Battlefield 3 : Close Quarters, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill and also the return of the 9th game in the award winning series Call of Duty; Black ops 2. The new COD is based in the year 2025 which is a strange twist for the Call of Duty franchise since all previous games are based in the past or present. Alot is riding on the success of Black Ops 2 as modern warfare 3 has been getting some bad reviews lately because of its similarity to modern warfare 2. Black ops 2 is said be breaking the style of all previous CODs as single player missions as supposed to be more "sandbox" oriented. Even though out of the 2 developers Treyarch was thought to be the lower class developer, From the 2 missions that Activision and Treyarch showed at E3 already shows that Black ops 2 is going to out shine anything before it. Aside from the single player aspect the multiplayer amd zombies side of black ops 2 is another thing that is being raved about. It was confirmed that zombies will not just have max. 4 players but a max. Of 8 players at once! With all new futuristic weapon and double to people the zombies hoards are sure to perish! Now the countdown begins until november when the game is released.
