Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

Call of Duty is 1 of the best in the business in terms of First-Person Shooters. As far as their newest released game Modern Warfare 3. They didn`t exactly hit a home run. MW3 pretty much has all the same styles to its previous Modern Warfare, MW2. The only differences between the games in terms of features is 2 player online, which Treyarch already included in Black Ops, and the Survival Spec Ops mode. The 1 new twist to the Call of Duty franchise that is good about MW3 is Community and Face-Off game modes online. MW3 has left the classic TDM, DOM or HQ and has added 2 new categories. Firstly the Face-Off game mode. The Face-Off game modes give you and opportunity to display your skills as a lone gun, you and a friend or a small team with 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 gameplay instead of the classic 6v6 or 9v9 in ground war. And Secondly for the Community games. Currently MW3 has 3 Community game modes. Infected, Drop Zone and FFA Gunplay. Infected is almost like the game "Manhunt" that we play as kids. 1 person starts out as the "infected" and can only use a tactical knife to "infect" everyone else until there is no one remaining. Just the the game Manhunt once someone is killed by infected they become on the infected`s team to help kill the rest of the players. Drop Zone is a cool game almost like HQ where there is an area that you must secure. But the twist is that for each person standing in the circle your team gains 20 points per second. Also both teams can be in the DZ at once collecting points. And for the 3rd twist to this game. If a player stays in the DZ long enough to get 200 points a care package will be sent in. And the last game FFA Gunplay is just a mixture of different FFA games such as One in the Chamber, 18 Guns (or Gungame), 3x6 Guns (which is gun game where you use the same set of 6 guns 3 times to win) and All or Nothing. All of Nothing is a new game type to this game also. In All of Nothing you start off with just a tact. knife and a throwing knife to try to kill other players. once you kill someone you get ammo for the usp .45 that you are holding and you can keep on killing, first 1 to 20 kills wins. Even though MW3 is very similar to MW2 Call of Duty is working very hard trying to make it different to keep players interested. Overall i give this game a 3.8/5 stars.
