You can plug in a hybrid to charge the electric motor so that it has extra power and helps the gasoline motor even more, you might even be able to get even more mileage if you use a plug in hybrid than the normal hybrid, the plug in hybrid also gives power to the other things in the car like air conditioning and GPS so that the gasoline does not have to waste energy to power the extra things in the car (www.wikipedia.org).

     The last main reason why people buy hybrids is because of the performance. Believe it or not but some Vancouver Cab companies use all Toyota Prius’ because of how reliable they are.
